Minotaur

The Minotaur is from greek mythology and it is a creature with the head of a bull and body of a man. It lived in the center of the Labyrinth, which has an elaborate maze like construction. The Labyrinth represented knowledge or your journey to enlightenment. The Minotaur was eventually killed by the Athenian solar hero, Theseus. The guesses about the Minotaur are that it originated in Minos, Crete. This is because in Crete the Minotaur was known as Asterion. The name in Crete is pointing the way to solving this Myth. Asterion simply means ‘starry’. So to the stars we go to translate this myth.

The Zodiac was very important to the ancients. It was not only a calendar for them, but it was also a way to the underworld. The underworld is your subconscious, not death. By observing the stars you were in the now and it was a way of your subconscious to communicate with you. We get the Minotaur from two constellations. It comes from the last part of Gemini and the first part of Taurus. Gemini – Min, Taurus- Taur, put them together you get Minotaur. Using the zodiac as a time-table, it was when the sun was in-between Gemini and Taurus. Theseus being the solar hero, which is the sun, slaying the Minotaur represents the sun entering Taurus only. Once the sun entered Taurus completely the Minotaur would be slayed. Saying that the Minotaur was in the Labyrinth was the trials and maze you have to go through to become enlightened. Finding true knowledge is a labyrinth.

My theory is that since the zodiac was a calendar, they used these creatures and symbols to tell us when the story happened. If you see a Minotaur in a story, the event happened when the sun was in-between Gemini and Taurus. Roughly 3750 BCE to 4000 BCE. It’s why the stories of Jesus are so full of fish. The stories happened in Pisces. The story of Noah with the animals being boarded two by two, is just showing the last round of water came in the age of Gemini. Gemini is the twins. The Popol Vuh has a story of twins going into the underworld. This tells me this story is referring to Gemini around 5000 BCE. So when you see things in ancient myths, look to the stars and try to figure out what age they are talking about. They are time stamping the event, just like we do today. When this post was put up it was timed stamped with the month, day and year. Some will even mark it with the exact time. The difference is the ancients knew their myths would last for ages.
